Fans have blamed David De Gea for not saving Ilkay Gundogan's long-range volley in the FA Cup final.
The Spaniard got one hand to it, but was unable to prevent the goal as Manchester City went 2-1 up at Wembley.
As things stand Gundogan will be the hero for City, but De Gea could be branded a villain after a poor display for the Red Devils.
Supporters have since taken to Twitter to pour scorn on the 32-year-old's performance.
One user wrote: "Surely De Gea has sealed his exit alone from this game."
Another added: "David De Gea has to go man. What the hell was that?"
While a third wrote: "Someone make a compilation of De Gea costing us trophies. I’ll pay at this point."
De Gea could only stand still for Gundogan's first goal, as the German lashed home a sensational volley after just 13 seconds.
The Manchester City captain is now on a hattrick as Erik ten Hag's men search for an equaliser with just over a quarter of an hour to go.
There has been plenty of speculation over De Gea's future at Old Trafford, with the former Atletico Madrid keeper yet to sign a new contract at the club.
And although negotiations are said to be at an 'advanced' stage, Brentford's David Raya has been heavily rumoured with a move to United, casting doubt over De Gea's position as first-choice goalkeeper.
