Newcastle United urged to go after Sadio Mane to match Eddie Howe’s lofty ambition
Newcastle United have been backed to go after Bayern Munich misfit Sadio Mane
Newcastle United signing Sadio Mane would take them to the next level, according to Louis Saha. The former Liverpool forward spent last season at Bayern Munich after leaving Anfield as a legend.
The Senegal international had a tumultuous spell in Bavaria with his future now in doubt after a bust up with fellow teammate Leroy Sane saw him fined and suspended by the club. Mane won the Premier League and the Champions League at Liverpool, scoring 120 goals for the club, and – according to Saha – is the perfect player to take Eddie Howe’s men forward.
“Newcastle United needs world-class players now, despite their amazing season, but they need players who have won titles and know how to win trophies,” the Frenchman told Betway. “That’s the club’s next step, and players like Sadio Mane can definitely help and provide inspiration to the team to take them to the next level.”
